The attacker executes a right hand downward knife strike in a right front stance  - The defender blocks the attacking arm with a left knifehand high block  The defender applies a figure four arm bar above the attackers elbow. Apply pressure with this hold and with your right elbow to the brachial plexus tie-in to make attacker release the knife

 

Defender executes a take down, stepping deep with left foot into front stance.  Defender follows with right hand punch to the body 

Safety Note:    The elbow, wrist, shoulder locks and leverage kicks are controlled techniques
                        applies with gradual pressure until the compromising opponent taps out. It is
                        vital to restrict excessive speed upon application for testing students and
                        instructors; however, brute force may be demonstrated by the instructor to show
                        permanent immobilization of the limbs for a classroom effect.
